The Neretva River Delta is one of the best preserved wetlands in Europe. Rich in flora and fauna, this area is known to world travelers as “Croatian California”. Within its delta, the river influenced a totally unique way of human living which today is slowly disappearing, but it is very much present in the memories of older inhabitants. The tradition of the hunting and fishing is still carried on by the local inhabitants. You will have opportunity to cruise in the ancient wooden boats, locally known as «trupice», and sail through the magnificent marshland.The delta of the Neretva River is the intact natural environment that offers shelter to numerous birds, fish and other species.
