Explore the sites that are usually unseen by tourists…
The southern part of Old City is off the usual tourist routes, but we are inviting you to discover its architectural treasures.
There is an open market with local merchants selling fruits, vegetables and cheese, evoking the immemorial trading customs of the city. A short stop at the green market will enable you to purchase home-made products such as local brandy or dry figs as souvenirs.
Along the way you will see one of the greatest examples of baroque architecture in the city - The Church of St. Ignatius.
A walk through the small narrow southern streets will take you through the oldest part of the City. Many of these streets have strong associations with the city's great poets, composers, scientist and statesmen.
The Ethnographic Museum “Rupe Granary” will be our last stop. This memorable place will take you back through the centuries presenting you the life of the people that once lived here.
This tour is not suitable for people with walking difficulties because of the stairs.
